Leaving Behind A Smaller Footprint
The Lions of Illinois Foundation has teamed up with gotsneakers.com to collect used sneakers. With sneaker recycling, we can generate funds to fuel our ongoing endeavors, including the Mobile Screening Unit and Camp Lions initiatives.
Gathering sneakers not only supports the Lions of Illinois Foundation but benefits our communities and the environment! It helps to keep sneakers out of landfills, minimizes the need to manufacture new shoes, and promotes the growth of a circular economy.
Sneaker Recycling: How Do I Participate?
To take part in this initiative you can work together with local schools, gyms, food pantries, and community centers to collect sneakers. Or, drop off your gently-used sneakers at designated collection points. For additional details, reach out to your local Lions Club or directly email the Foundation Office at LIFOffice@lifnd.org.
